Dr. Kelly Tran Edmonton

Dr. Kelly Tran

Dr. Kelly Tran was born in Vietnam and has lived in Edmonton for most of her life.  She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta and then attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, completing her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2008.  She received her clinical training at the Eye Institute of Philadelphia with emphasis on pediatric training, as well as New Jersey VA Hospital.

She co-founded Precision Eye Care in 2010 with the intention of providing a completely personal eye care experience for her patients.  She has worked hard to incorporate the most advanced clinical technology to best care for her patient’s eyes.  For the past decade she has enjoyed meeting new patients and watching families grow year after year.

When she is not working, she enjoys travelling and cooking meals for family and friends.  She now has settled into the beautiful community of Summerside and enjoys the busy life raising her 2 daughters and son with her husband Kevin and their dog Sugarbell.

Dr. Natalie Chai Edmonton

Dr. Natalie Chai

Dr. Natalie Chai was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She attended the University of Alberta before earning her joint Bachelor Degree in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest, Grove, Oregon in 2014. She founded the Precision Eye Care Dry Eye Centre in June 2020 and in addition to family routine examinations, her practice is also focused on Myopia Management and Specialty Contact Lenses – these are specialties that are under-represented and under-used in the Edmonton region. She is happy to serve the community with these niches to promote preventative medicine and introduce an exciting side to optometry for our patients.

Dr. Chai is also married to an optometrist, but they try to keep “shop-talk” to a minimum outside from work. They have a pet bearded dragon named Mochi and looking into welcoming some furry friends in the future. She places value on health and fitness and since COVID have tried her hand at calisthenics training which has been a nice challenge. Once travel is permitted again, she plans to travel the world with her husband before starting a family. Most importantly, she tries to engage in any activity that will encourage personal growth (even if it’s out of her comfort zone!)

Mandy

Mandy

Mandy has been the receptionist and optometric assistant here at Precision Eye Care for the past four years, with over ten years experience in the customer service industry. She loves meeting new people as well as spending quality time with family and friends. In her down time she loves to look up new food recipes to try out, play video games with her boyfriend, and travel.

Karen

Karen

Originally from Vancouver Island, Karen entered into a career as an optician in 1997 when she moved to Edmonton. She worked for several years at both Shopper’s Optical and LensCrafter’s prior to working in a clinic setting. Working alongside an optometrist has broadened her knowledge about eyes and eye conditions.

Karen has enjoyed being a part of the Precision Eye Care team since August 2018. Karen is married, has two children in post-secondary education, and a much-loved cat and dog. She enjoys travelling, her most adventurous trip was to Chile on a Habitat for Humanity mission, but is happy to sit on any beach. As she and her husband become “empty nesters” they look forward to adventures together.

Alex

” Love What You Do”

This is how Alex feels when she assists her patients. Alex has been in the industry for many years starting as a lab technician, then a dispenser to becoming a licensed optician – these were all opportunities full of growth. She loves to focus on how my passion to what she does can make a difference to our patients, her co-workers, our doctors and our company. Seeing people smile from the time come in the clinic, try on some frames to the time they pick up their eyewear makes her happy.
